I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology at Memorial University in 2011. After working for a year as a Kinesiologist in Corner Brook, I went on to complete my Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University where I graduated in 2014.
I have worked in private practice for 3 years in Newfoundland, and just recently decided I was ready for a change and decided to make the move to Fort McMurray.
I believe in a healthy holistic approach to rehabilitation that focuses on education, proper movement patterns, manual therapy and exercise prescription to achieve functional outcomes. I am passionate about manual therapy, and have taken various orthopedic and pain management courses. I also imply functional dry needling into my treatments to achieve the best results. I dedicate time to advancing my knowledge through doing courses and research to provide the best evidence based treatments. I am very motivated to help my clients and thrive on a challenge.
My clientele ranges from individuals involved in motor vehicle accidents or injured on the job, to runners and athletes, as well as individuals suffering from both acute and chronic injuries and illness as well as vertigo.
I am a strong believer and an advocate for living a healthy lifestyle. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, playing ice hockey, volleyball, softball and snowboarding. I am so excited to join the Accel Team!
